Christmas is going to the dogs

We love our canine companions at the Foundry and we’re also always looking for ways to give back to our community. So this year, instead of sending the usual Christmas cards to our clients and suppliers we’ve decided to donate to a local dog’s home.

Founded in 1893, Manchester and Cheshire Dogs’ Home was originally set up by a group of Manchester businessmen who were concerned about the number of stray dogs in the city.

Today, it has a state-of-the-art adoption unit for people to meet and interact with dogs as well as 30 fully kitted out kennels. The charity treats sick and injured animals and provides microchipping and vaccinations to get them ready for their new homes.

Our donation will help them provide veterinary treatment, clean bedding, fresh food and water to their residents, helping them have a happier Christmas until they’ve found an owner.

As many of us are dog pawrents, it feels good to support something so close to our hearts and our home at Media City. There are lots of ways you can support Manchester and Cheshire Dogs’ Home whether it’s a single donation, running a fundraising event or simply buying something from their Amazon wish list.
